Developing control and coordination.
Parents can relax knowing their child will be challenged but kept safe when using the Nimble Kids Pikler Triangle and accessories. The Australian company has created gorgeous developmental equipment that help kids explore their physical ability with its proven-design.
As an Occupational Therapist, we can use the Pikler with the children we work with to develop motor control and coordination.
From a newborn, your baby is developing control and coordination of their motor movements. Beginning with laying on their back, turning their head, moving their hands, turning their bodies and stretching, these are all movements towards development of motor control and coordination.
As your child grows, they learn to coordinate two sides of their body, as well as coordinating their upper and lower body together to move. The Pikler can support this development from a baby through to the skills that a 5 to 6-year-old-child develops including confidence with climbing up and down and harmonising movements with awareness of the space around us.
